Over the years I have taught many classes and counseled many people. We don't always know how something we have said, shared, or intuited in a spiritual counseling session, intuitive reading, or astrological chart session may affect the people who come to us for guidance and insight.  While some readers seek to make their clients dependent upon them, I find it more important to do what I can to encourage my clients to learn more about themselves, and learn to trust and listen to their own intuition.  Whatever a reader or counselor does, they should put the power for making life choices back in your hands, for that is where it truly belongs. Your relationship with the Divine is dependent upon your own discernment and choices. I suggest getting my new book, Elements of Tarot: A Guide for a Spiritual Journey, to give you an idea of how I approach teaching others to learn to discern the truth of their own lives.  

Yesterday, I received a beautiful message from a client who came for a reading a little less than a year ago.  I have excluded her last name and personal details to protect her privacy. This is what she had to say:

“You may or may not remember a Liz  who came with her friend Amy for a tarot reading in Astoria, OR sometime last summer. Or was it early autumn? Anyway it was at one of the bookstores downtown (Lucy’s Books). I just wanted to be one of the few that let you know your intuition was pretty much spot on. Also I appreciated how you used the reading to point me in the right direction of paying attention to opportunities and listening for messages when they come, because having this attitude helped me to make major positive life changes.”

Liz went on to describe, in detail, a number of things we had talked about in the reading, and some of the major changes she has made in her life since. She concluded her comments by saying:

“It has indeed been a year of transformation for me, which you read when the Death card came up as symbolic of my year in total. Only last February I was living in a small town with a poorly paying job, a cheating spouse (who left me BEFORE I met the boyfriend, by the way :) ), and a longing to pursue my writing but no real idea of how to go about doing it. Your reading of the past was pretty darn accurate too, as I recall I did mention during our reading about the ex, the divorce and the resulting situation that moved me out of my home. But that initial move was the springboard for moving to the location I really wanted... so it all worked out for good.

I posted these comments because it often helps to get some insight from someone who has come to me for counseling. In the future, I will add other comments from those who find value in exploring their spiritual journey.
